Exit polls cited by the Wall Street Journal showed that “almost nine in 10 voters said debates were a factor in their decisions, while two-thirds said they were an important part of their decision. Mr. Gingrich won handily among those voters.”
Something else that the exit polls showed: Only 14% of likely South Carolina voters had a favorable opinion on the Obama Media, while 77% had an unfavorable opinion. So the combination of Newt’s debate performances and his jabs at what he so brilliantly refers to as the “elite media” during those debates played right into the hands of South Carolina voters.
Here are a few other interesting facts about Newt’s win in South Carolina. One third of voters said that beating Obama was the most important quality in a candidate, and, interestingly enough, more of those people voted for Gingrich than Romney. The most important issue for South Carolina voters was the economy, more so than voters in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Voters who said that their top issue was the economy voted in greater numbers for Newt. In fact, Newt won 88% of voters who characterized their family's economic situation as "holding steady" or "falling behind."

The real question is why isn’t the National Media as tough on President Obama?
His Marxist-Socialist past.
His Alinskyite roots.
His plethora of Scandals Walkergate, Solyndra, LightSquared, etc.
His utter failure at accomplishing anything Positive for the country.
I'm waiting for some member of the media to ask Obama why he hasn't released his school records.
Newt Gingrich will treat the White House the same way Obama does -- he will put himself first. We cannot afford 4 more years of crony capitalism, wars driven by corporate interests and a central bank that thinks it can solve all of it's problems by printing more money. And by it's problems, I mean a handful of evil men like Hank Paulson and Ben Bernanke who want the good times to keep rolling, America be damned. These men must be stopped and Global Warming Gingrich ain't the man for the job.

Remember, you're not suppose to whine about the messenger, but the message.
All politicians have two jobs. One is to get elected. The other is to get re-elected. Nothing else matters. By virtue of relationships with special interests and by virtue of the "special" treatment they afford themselves, not many leave politics less than wealthy. The best we can hope for is a President of one party and both Houses of Congress from the other party. GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS GRIDLOCK!

Here 2:41 PM are 34 scandals from the first four years of George W. Bush's presidency
Newt's a great debater. As long as he's in the debate, I say bring on the liberal moderators. Based on their asinine questions, you'd almost think they were in cahoots.
I was particularly amused to learn that the very wife who was complaining so bitterly was screwing Newt while he was still married to Wife #1. Am I confused, or is that a pretty amazing sort of hypocrisy?
Newt's personal war with the media is not important. I wish the media had looked at Obama as closely as they are Newt, etc.
Wow, the best defenders of Obama can do is point to Bush (as always) and ignore the question on BHO’s accomplishments – or severe lack thereof.
For those not in the know – Bush is no longer in charge and those accusations are irrelevant.
However, the scandals plaguing the Obama Administration ARE relevant since they point to corruption and incompetence within its ranks.
The National Media can only ignore those scandals for a little while longer – sooner or later that will explode into the country’s consciousness and if BHO isn’t able to cheat his way back in he will surely be impeached.
If Newt Gingrich gets the Republican nomination, President Obama will coast to another four years. So look for the media...who paid no attention to the vast wealth of Ted Kennedy or John Kerry...to cover Mitt Romey's finances with a fine toothed comb. Sadly, the only Republican who can give President Obama a strong race is Mitt Romney...and the worst thing that could happen for the giggle-sissy liberals is for Romney to become a strong candidate with the Republican Party solidly behind him. So they'll do anything in the world...including holding their noses and promoting Newt Gingrich...if it can prevent that.
John King did just what the Dems wanted - keep the race for the Republican nominee going as long as possible to keep the focus off of what the Obama administration has done/is doing to America.
Here's a chart for all you Newter's out there! Pay close attention to the red line!
