In response to a story published on the Ridgewood Blog titled
BREAKING : Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce Rejects Paul Arohnson Endorsement
Which wrongly accused Councilman Paul Arohnson, Village Liaison with the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, of seeking political re-election endorsement over other Councilmen. The article went on to claim Mr. Ed Sullivan as the advocate to have the Chamber back Paul Aronsohn. A supposed heated arguement ensued and the Chamber declined the request.
The fake article went on to state "Several of the Chamber are now reportedly seeking to replace Mr. Aronsohn as Liaison who is viewed by many as a failed career politician; insensitive to the needs of local residents and businesses."

Wow... I'm not a regular reader of this blog since I've heard you cannot believe some of the articles, and this article confirms that to me. The question brought up by a board member at our monthly meeting was... can the Chamber make any re-election or new endorsements? We reviewed the section in our bylaws forbidding political endorcements and we moved on. Hardly "heated discussion" and there was no absolutely no mention of Mr. Aronsohn or his performance as liason or council member. Seems like someone has an hidden agenda and is misinforming the public.

We agree with you Mr. Hillman The Ridgewood Blog does have an agenda. How well it is hidden could be argued though..... Looks to us like the Killion bought and paid for blog is trying to distort the facts once again!

I am not surprised but I sure should be. Apparently Tom and Keith will go to any lengths to discredit Paul, even lies if necessary. This type of blatant political bashing is unprecedented in the history of Village Politics. Never in my many years of living in the Village have I ever heard of such bashing of local politicians. So why is this happening now? What is the motivating factor for all of this? Only Keith and Tom can answer that and I sure would be interested in knowing why they have taken our local politics to this level.
They must be really afraid that Paul will win reelection. He is the only one on the council that isn't a puppet to Gabbert like the others.

I thank the Views for posting and clarifing the matter of Aronsohn supposedly seeking the endorsement of the Chamber which has correctly come to light as being blatently untrue. On the allegation that Killion bought and payed for the blog I must respectfully disagree. It is my belief that Keith is a man of honor and would not stoop to such a low deed or even condone it by others. In the absence of definitive proof I believe our Mayor should be given respect and the benefit of doubt.
