The Preserve Graydon Coalition will hold its first organizational meeting on Thursday, July 30, 2009, in the Youth Lounge at Village Hall, 131 N. Maple Avenue, Ridgewood.
`
Enter Village Hall, turn left in the lobby, and walk to the end of the hall.
The doors will open at 6:30 PM. The meeting will begin at 7:15 PM sharp.
Our time will be limited. This will not be a "town meeting." Comments will be limited to members of the Coalition who agree in principle with the aims stated on the website, www.preservegraydon.org.
Tempers must remain calm and suggestions thoughtful.
We seek volunteers for the following tasks (for that evening only):
Urgent: we need one or more marketing, public relations, or related communications professionals who can help with specific publicity-related projects right away.
Hoping to see you on Thursday,
Suzanne Kelly and Marcia Ringel
Co-Chairs, The Preserve Graydon Coalition
“It’s clear—we love Graydon”

Note: Those who attend the meeting will have snared a prime parking spot for the evening's Band Shell performance, "The McVey Family and Friends: Broadway and Beyond," which starts at 8:30 PM. Walk to your car after our meeting, pick up your lawn chair or blanket, and relax at Veterans Field in time for the show--like Graydon, a longtime Ridgewood tradition.

Will there be a safty and health expert there to explain those defiencies...or just give a talk of nostalgic memories?
A financial expert to explain loss of membership and how to improve self sustaining income?
If so, I might go....but,unlikely.
That sink hole is an expensive death trap....let it die gracefully.
....
6:32 - propaganda much? Learn the facts, then lets talk.
6:32 clearly has an agenda. It is so obvious when this individual uses stupid comments such as:
That sink hole is an expensive death trap....let it die gracefully.
If Graydon is a death trap then sports (Basketball, Football & Baseball) is the equivilent of death camps. More children have died playing sports then have drowned in Graydon.
Maybe the RPP health and safety experts could help out ... oh, wait they don't have any ...
people swim in the ocean all the time. There is no way of tellin the level of skill the swimmer has. Someone died this past weekend on Long Island and they are not closing the beaches.
Graydon has a "known" population and a policy that requires a deep water test. If they followed their own rules it would be a much safer place. Guard training may need to be stepped up bit. The deep area where the swimmer died was not crowded. Pay attention.
BTW - the water is beautiful.
Death trap? Non-swimmers should not swim in deep water. Period.
Deficiencies? What deficiencies are these? Are you simply opposed to all natural bodies of water, including the ocean? How sad for you.
Perhaps you are an ardent supporter of cement pools. Great idea, if you love head injuries and their horrific effects, especially ensuing paralysis and permanent brain damage.
As for chlorine, a dangerous chemical whose pronounced effects are particularly dangerous for children...another brilliant idea!!! You must be a rocket scientist.
Call me a Graydonista anytime!!!
